Rachael Lubberman

Rachael Lubberman is in her third year as an assistant volleyball coach in 2015-16.

Lubberman joined the Cavaliers after a stand-out playing career and three seasons as an assistant at Neumann University. The Ridley High School alum was a four-time all-conference performer for the Knights from 2005-08, helping to lead a resurgence of Neumann’s volleyball program.

Neumann advanced to the conference tournament in each of her four years, capturing titles in 2007 and 2008.  Her teams also appeared in two NCAA Tournaments, the first in program history and an ECAC Tournament.

Lubberman amassed 1,075 kills, 785 digs and 99 blocks during her career.  Her name remains etched in Neumann’s record books, as her 25 kills against Swarthmore in 2007 are a school record.  Her 1,124 attempts, 383 kills, and 449 points in 2007 are among the top 10 single season performances in the program’s history.

Lubberman made a seamless transition to the sideline, assisting the club during the 2009 and 2010 campaigns, helping the Knights to two appearances in the CSAC semifinal rounds.

Lubberman has also coached at the club volleyball level, working with players ages 10-18 for the Mystique Volleyball Club since 2006.

Lubberman graduated from Neumann in 2009 with a degree in psychology before completing her master’s degree in Counseling and Student Affairs in Higher Education at West Chester University.

She currently works as an assistant to the academic deans at Cabrini.  Sophia, her younger sister, completed her career as a member of Cabrini’s volleyball team in 2013, while Nicole is currently a junior on the team.  Â
