RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini men's soccer team captured its second straight win to open the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) schedule, knocking off Immaculata University, 2-1, Wednesday at Edith Robb Dixon Field. Junior midfielder Andrew Jacobs sparked the Cabrini offense with two second-half goals in the victory.

After more than 60 minutes of scoreless play, the contest quickly developed into an offensive flurry ignited by Jacobs' first goal at the 63:52 mark. Junior forward Justin McCall found Jacobs in front of the Mighty Macs' net alone with goalkeeper Zach Oas.

Jacobs deposited his second goal of the contest and third of the season just 59 seconds following, handing the Cavaliers a much-needed two-goal advantage. Junior midfielder Evan Hanauer's corner ran through the box before Jacobs settled and placed the ball in the top-right corner from 10-yards out.

Immaculata responded, trimming the Cabrini lead in half at the 66 minute mark. Gio DeMartini's cross in front of the Cavaliers' cage to the far post found the back of the net off the head of Kieran Keelan.

The Cabrini defense clutched a one-goal advantage the rest of the way. Sophomore goalkeeper Bryan Johnson preserved the victory with less than 15 minutes remaining, punching Keelan's quick shot from 10-yards out over the crossbar.

The Cavaliers' offense registered 22 shots, including 12 on the Mighty Macs' net. McCall led the way with six tries, while senior Mike McDevitt and freshman Eric Collins recorded four.

Johnson collected 11 saves en route to his fifth win of the season. Oas made 10 stops for Immaculata.

Cabrini (7-2-2, 2-0-0) returns to the road Saturday, October 11, traveling to Keystone College for a 1 p.m. start.
