RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini men's soccer team concluded its Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) regular season with a 3-0 blanking of rival Gwynedd-Mercy College Saturday at Edith Robb Dixon Field. Seniors Brett Butler, John Graham, Colin Hinkelmon and Mike McDevitt were honored and given a framed Cabrini jersey for their dedication to the men's soccer program.

The Cavaliers recorded 25 totals shots, including 16 on the Griffins' net, in finishing the regular season with an undefeated 8-0-0 record against CSAC opponents.

Cabrini sprinted to a one-goal lead just 51 seconds into regulation. Sophomore Troy Allen's serve on a corner kick was headed past Gwynedd-Mercy goalkeeper Sean Meehan by McDevitt for his team-best 11th goal of the season.

Despite a relentless Cavaliers' attack, the Griffins kept the hosts at bay and within striking distance for the ensuing 72 minutes. However, a stingy Cabrini backline allowed just five Gwynedd-Mercy shots throughout the contest.

Hinkelmon stopped both shots he faced in more than 83 minutes of action.

Sophomore King Saah handed the Cavaliers an insurance tally in the 73rd minute. Saah corralled a bouncing ball and beat GMC reserve keeper Mike Leonard from 25-yards out.

Cabrini secured a three-goal cushion with nearly three minutes remaining in the second half. Freshman Steve Lobley deposited his first career goal on a feed from rookie Sam Webb at the 86:52 mark.

Sophomore netminder Mike Viscarello spelled Hinkelmon in the 83rd minute and finished the contest in goal for the Cavaliers without facing a shot.

Meehan claimed two saves in the first half for the Griffins. Leonard tallied 11 stops in the final 45 minutes of play.

The win supplies the Cavaliers with unbeaten record in regular season play at home. Cabrini owns a 7-0-2 mark at Edith Robb Dixon Field this year, tying Johns Hopkins University and Widener University.

Cabrini (13-3-2, 8-0-0) claims the top seed in the CSAC Tournament and will host the winner of the No. 4 versus No. 5 match in the semifinal round Thursday, November 6.
