RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men's basketball team topped Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Marywood University, 71-48, Saturday at Nerney Field House. The win is the Cavaliers' 13th this season and eclipses the team's overall win total from the 2007-08 campaign.

Cabrini finished last season with a 12-14 overall record and 9-7 mark in the conference. Saturday's win also avenges the Cavaliers' 89-85 loss at the hands of the Pacers January 15.

Senior shooting guard Ryan Oxley powered the Cabrini offense, scoring a season and game-high 20 points on 7-for-12 shooting overall. He drained a season-best 6-of-9 three-point attempts.

Junior forward Kevin Misevicius followed up his record-breaking 41-point performance from Thursday with 19 points on 8-for-16 shooting versus the Pacers. He also grabbed six rebounds and swiped four steals.

Sophomore combo guard Lamar Fisher totaled 10 points on 5-for-10 shooting and recorded a team-best seven boards.  Senior floor leader Charles Bush notched nine points, six assists and matched Misevicius in the theft department, posting four steals.

The Blue & Gray out-scored Marywood 44-30 in the first half behind a 57.1 percent shooting clip. The Cabrini offense converted 20-of-35 field goals, including four trifectas from Oxley alone.

The Cavaliers improved their record to a perfect 11-0 when leading at intermission.

The Pacer's attack struggled to find any rhythm on the offensive end in the second half, shooting just 22.7 percent from the field. Marywood connected on 5-of-22 attempts in the closing period.

The Cavaliers' defense forced a season-best 24 turnovers. The Blue & Gray offense turned the Pacers' miscues into 29 points. Cabrini also out-scored Marywood 27-16 in the paint.

With Keystone's 74-66 loss at Gwynedd-Mercy Thursday, today's victory hands the Cavaliers sole possession of second place in the CSAC with six games to play. Four of Cabrini's last six league contests are played at Nerney Field House.

Cabrini (13-5, 6-3) resumes CSAC play Monday, February 2 versus Centenary College at home. The Cavalier women host the Cyclones at 6 p.m. The men's game is set to start at approximately 8 p.m.
