HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Cabrini men's soccer team bounced back in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play with a 2-0 win at Centenary College Saturday. Senior goalkeeper Bryan Johnson notched two saves for his third shutout of the season.
The Cavaliers' offense out-shot the Cyclones, but held only a 1-0 advantage at the intermission. Senior back Jason Moran was responsible for the goal, converting a pass in front from senior midfielder Andrew Jacobs just 32 seconds before halftime.
Cabrini added an insurance tally in the 75th minute when junior forward Steve Reynolds beat Centenary goalkeeper Jason Rogers at the 74:52 mark. Senior midfielder Evan Hanauer earned the assist on the score.
Jacobs fueled the Cabrini offense with four shots.
The Blue & White out-shot the Cyclones 16-5 for the game. The Cavaliers also won the corner kicks battle, 8-4.
The victory is the Blue & White's 12th in the last 13 CSAC contests, including the 2008 regular season and playoffs.
Cabrini (9-3-1, 2-1-1) returns to Edith Robb Dixon Field for a date with CSAC opponent Philadelphia Biblical University Tuesday, October 13 at 6 p.m.
