RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men's soccer team is unbeaten in its last six Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) matches following a 6-1 win against Baptist Bible College Tuesday at Edith Robb Dixon Field. The Cavaliers used four second half goals and out-shot the Defenders, 27-3, en route to the victory.
Senior back Troy Allen ignited the scoring outburst with his third penalty kick goal of the season and third score overall at the 14:33 mark. Junior forward Justin McCall provided Cabrini with a 2-0 advantage at the intermission with his third goal of the year in the 40th minute.
Senior midfielder Brian Raffle initiated the offense in the second half, tallying his team-best 10th goal of the season at the 63:58 mark. Senior midfielder Brian Moran pushed the Cavaliers' lead to four goals, 4-0, with his second marker of the year less than three minutes following at the 66:17 mark.
Sophomore midfielder Jake Neary scored his first career goal in the 73rd minute and ballooned the Cabrini cushion to 5-0. He added his second goal of the game in the 86th minute, capping the Blue & White's offense.
Sophomore back Kyle Johnson complimented the Cabrini offense with two assists. Brian Moran, senior midfielder Andrew Jacobs and junior forward Steve Reynolds each chipped in with one helper. The Cabrini attack generated 12 corner kicks against just one for Baptist Bible.
Baptist Bible salvaged a shutout following Joel Cutting's goal with 1:12 remaining.
Senior goalkeeper Bryan Johnson started in net for the Cavaliers, posting on save in nearly 64 minutes of action. Junior netminder Mike Viscariello logged more than 21 minutes before making way for rookie goalkeeper Mike Gee for the final 4:47.
Defenders goalkeeper Luke Williams played more than 71 minutes and totaled nine saves. Tony Morrison went without a save in the remaining 19 minutes.
Cabrini (13-3-2, 6-1-1) concludes its CSAC regular season schedule Saturday, October 31 at Edith Robb Dixon Field versus Keystone College. Game time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
