ANNVILLE, Pa. –
The Cabrini men's basketball team captured its second consecutive victory to begin the 2009-10 regular season Wednesday night, knocking off Commonwealth Conference opponent Lebanon Valley College in convincing fashion, 68-59, at LVC Gymnasium.

The Cavaliers' offensive attack featured four scorers in double figures. Senior forward Kevin Misevicius scored a game-best 17 points, grabbed six rebounds and swiped four steals.

Freshman floor general Cory Lemons totaled 14 points, seven boards and four assists. Junior forward Dom Farrello kicked in 13 points and senior guard Corey White contributed 10 points.

Cabrini out-rebounded the Dutchmen, 51-45. Freshman center Goran Dulac collected a team-best 12 rebounds, including five on the offensive end. Sophomore forward Brandon Carter claimed 10 caroms.

The Cavaliers put the pedal to the metal right from the opening whistle and never looked back, leading by as much as 19 points in the first half. Lebanon Valley held a brief 2-0 advantage just seconds after the tip. However, a lay-in from White at the 18:30 supplied Cabrini with a 4-2 edge and a lead it would never relinquish.

The Blue & White shot nearly 46 percent from the floor in the first 20 minutes and held a 42-27 cushion at the break. Despite playing just 10 minutes due to foul trouble, Misevicius led all scorers with 12 points in the first half on 5-for-9 shooting.

The Dutchmen raced out of the intermission, scoring the half's first eight points and cutting its deficit to 42-34 at the 17:08 mark.

Cabrini answered with seven straight and reasserted a comfortable and never-threatened-again 15-point advantage, 49-34, with 15:36 remaining.

Sophomore guard Jordan Stewart led all LVC scorers with 11 points on 4-for-7 shooting. Senior Dan Dunkelberger paired nine points with a game-high 16 rebounds.

Wednesday's meeting was just the second all-time between Cabrini and Lebanon Valley. The Cavaliers' road victory avenges a 101-92 loss at the hands of the Dutchmen last season. LVC drained 37-of-43 free throw attempts and boasted three scorers with at least 20 points en route to ending the Blue & White's five-game win streak to open the 2008-09 campaign.

Lebanon Valley was selected to finish third in the Commonwealth Conference, according to a preseason poll conducted by the league's head coaches.

Cabrini (2-0) will play its first game in the friendly confines of Nerney Field House Saturday, November 21 versus Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) opponent Penn State – Altoona. Game time is set for 2 p.m.
