RADNOR, Pa. –
The No. 1 seed Cabrini men's soccer team has advanced to the championship match of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Tournament for the second straight year following a 5-0 win against No. 5 seed Gwynedd-Mercy College in the semifinal round at Edith Robb Dixon Field Thursday.

Junior back Troy Allen led the scoring outburst, scoring two goals, including the eventual game-winning tally in the 44th minute. Allen broke the game's scoring silence just before the intermission with a goal from nearly 35-yards out off a re-start.

Cabrini pushed its lead to two goals, 2-0, when sophomore forward Eric Collins deposited a fast-break goal in the 51st minute. Collins took a feed down the left sideline from sophomore back Kyle Johnson, carried into the Gwynedd-Mercy box and beat goalkeeper Mike Leonard to the opposite post.

The Cavaliers' advantage ballooned to 3-0 after Allen bended a corner kick attempt around the near post at the 68:20 mark. Freshman forward Ryan Juhring added the Blue & White's fourth goal of the afternoon in the 74th minute off a deflection in front of the Griffins' net. Senior forward Justin McCall earned the assist.

Junior forward Steve Reynolds capped the afternoon's offense with a marker at the 85:29 mark. Reynolds took a feed from Juhring and bounced a shot over reserve goalkeeper John Furphy's out-stretched hands.

The Cabrini attack out-shot Gwynedd-Mercy, 26-4, including a 15-2 edge in the second half when the Cavaliers recorded four goals. Cabrini also won the corner kick battle, generating seven against just two from the visitors.

Senior goalkeeper Bryan Johnson logged more than 80 minutes and made three saves for the Blue & White before making way for junior netminder Mike Viscariello. Viscariello played more than nine minutes in net and posted one save. The shutout is the Cavaliers' 10th team blanking of the season.

Leonard tallied eight saves in more than 77 minutes of action for the Griffins in the loss. Furphy posted two stops in relief.

The victory brings the Blue & White to the 15-win plateau for the third straight season under fifth-year head coach Glen Jaskelewicz. The Cavaliers will be looking to win their first back-to-back CSAC title in program history. Cabrini has captured two conference championships, winning the crown in 1999 and 2008.

Cabrini (15-3-2) will get a shot at its third appearance in the NCAA Tournament all-time Saturday, November 7 versus  No. 3 seed Immaculata University at Immaculata as part of the CSAC Fall Championship Festival.
