Men's Soccer Tops Marywood University in Regular Season Finale, 2-0

Freshman midfielder Taylor Scarpino scored his third goal of the season on Saturday against Marywood University.

SCRANTON, Pa. – The Cabrini men's soccer team closed its regular season on Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 win at Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Marywood University. Senior forward Eric Collins scored the eventual game-winning goal for the Cavaliers in the victory.

Collins put the Blue & White ahead for good in the 17th minute, finishing a feed from freshman midfielder C.J. Doherty at the 16:26 mark.

Freshman midfielder Taylor Scarpino added an insurance goal, an unassisted score, for the Cavaliers in the 28th minute.

Freshman goalkeeper Eric Nowicki posted eight saves for his third career shutout.

Cabrini (8-9-1) has earned the No. 3 seed for the CSAC Tournament and will host No. 6 seed Gwynedd-Mercy College on Tuesday, Nov. 2. Match time against the Griffins is set for 5:30 p.m.
