HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. –
The Cabrini softball team remains undefeated in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play this season following a two-game sweep on the road against Centenary College on Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers rallied for a 4-3 victory in game one before posting a 3-0 shutout win game two.

Cabrini trailed 3-0 after six innings versus the Cyclones in game one. However, the Cavaliers plated four runs on four hits, including the eventual game-winner off the bat of sophomore 1B Angela Shookster, in the seventh inning to escape with the victory.

Sophomore SS Sammy Thompson aided in the comeback with a two-run double down the leftfield line with one out in the Blue & White's final at-bat. Freshman CF Casey O'Connell tied the game one batter following with an RBI single to centerfield.

O'Connell went 3-for-4 at the plate in game one and also scored one run. Thompson recorded two hits in the victory.

Freshman P Marcelle Crist earned the win on the mound for Cabrini, allowing three earned runs and five hits. Crist leads the team with five victories and a 1.30 ERA in 2010.

Senior hurler Liz Zimmer cruised in game two, posting her fourth win of the season on the mound. Zimmer surrendered just four hits and struck out two batters en route to her second consecutive complete game shutout of the season.

Zimmer also blanked the College of Notre Dame over seven innings in her last outing on April 6. Today's complete game shutout was the fifth of her career with the Cavaliers.

Cabrini scored an unearned run in the top of the third inning. Junior C Chrissy Squillace crossed home plate on a ball hit by Thompson and booted by Centenary freshman 2B Brianne McManus.

The Cavaliers added two insurances tallies in the top half of the seventh frame on a two-run RBI double from senior DP Kerri MacNeal. Sophomore pinch runner Lauren Alessi and sophomore 3B Ryan McDonough scored on the ball hit to left-center field.

Cabrini (11-9, 6-0) continues its CSAC regular season schedule tomorrow at Baptist Bible College. Game one is set to start at 12 p.m.
