Men's Soccer Suffers 1-0 Loss Against Alvernia University at Jimmy Mills Tournament

HAVERFORD, Pa. -
The Cabrini men's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss on Sunday afternoon versus Alvernia University on day two at the Jimmy Mills Tournament. Freshman goalkeeper Chris Girolamo made his first career start and posted five saves for the Cavaliers in the loss.

Alvernia netted the eventual game-winning goal in the 18th minute when sophomore midfielder E.J. Logan converted a pass from sophomore midfielder Kyle Martyn. The Crusaders out-shot the Blue & White for the contest, 16-11.

Junior forward Eric Collins led the Cavaliers in the shot department with three. Freshman midfielder C.J. Doherty and freshman midfielder Gabe Kuhn each totaled two shots.

Alvernia goalkeeper Benjamin Diller notched two saves in the victory.

Cabrini (0-5-0) resumes its non-conference schedule on Wednesday night at home against Centennial Conference opponent No. 6 Johns Hopkins University. Match time against the Blue Jays is set for 6:30 p.m.
