IMMACULATA, Pa. –
The Cabrini men's basketball team captured its third straight Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) victory with an 83-79 win against Immaculata University on Thursday night. The Cavaliers' offense ranked four scorers in double figures for the second straight game and for the seventh time this season in the victory.

Senior forward Dom Farrello paired 20 points with 11 rebounds for his fifth career double-double and third in the last five games. Farrello shot 7-for-16 overall and drained 4-of-7 3-point field goals, scoring in double figures for the 13th time in 13 games this season.

Junior guard John Boyd also reached 20 points, shooting 5-for-10 from the field and 3-for-5 from beyond the 3-point arc. Boyd also swiped four steals and blocked two shots.

Boyd, in his first season with the Cavaliers, played his freshman and sophomore seasons with the Mighty Macs, averaging 11.0 points per game. He earned CSAC Second Team distinction in 2009-10 at IU.

Sophomore point guard Cory Lemons also notched a double-double, the fourth of his Cabrini tenure, tallying 12 points and 10 assists. Lemons narrowly missed a triple-double, gathering eight rebounds.

Sophomore guard A.J. Williams netted 13 points. Freshman center Jon Miller chipped in seven points and six rebounds.

The Cavaliers shot 50 percent from the field in the first half en route to a seven-point lead, 40-33, at the break. Cabrini used a 13-3 run mid-way through the opening period to seize a lead it never relinquished. Farrello led the Blue & White in the first half, scoring nine points, all from long distance.

Over the last six games, Farrello is averaging 18.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. He is shooting better than 51 percent from the field overall and nearly 57 percent from deep.

An old fashion 3-point play from Lemons pushed the Cabrini advantage to 11 points, 53-42, at the 12:44 mark. Farrello's lay-in with 11:04 remaining ballooned the Cavaliers' cushion to 60-46.

Immaculata put together a 14-4 run over the next four minutes, chopping its deficit to only four points, 64-60, with 6:53 left. The Mighty Macs trailed by just a deuce with eight ticks remaining.

Boyd iced the Blue & White's sixth straight win against Immaculata with two free throws with three seconds on the clock.

The Mighty Macs offense placed five scorers in double figures, led by junior guard Darnell Malabat's game-high 24 points. Junior guard Rob Siter tallied 19 points off the bench.

Cabrini (9-4, 6-1 CSAC) returns to Nerney Field House against CSAC foe Centenary College on Saturday, Jan. 22 at approximately 3 p.m.
