RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini College men's soccer team needed extra time today to defeat the visiting Rosemont College Ravens 2-1 on Senior Day. The Cavaliers improved to 9-7-1 overall and 5-2 in the CSAC with two CSAC games remaining.
Rosemont opened the scoring in the 19th minute when Ryan McElroy chipped a shot over Cabrini goaltender
Eric Nowicki. The Cavaliers created several scoring opportunities before the halftime break but could not convert.
After the break, Cabrini continued to exert its offensive pressure. In the 79th minute, they finally managed to find the Rosemont goal. Freshman
Christian Martin's cross found sophomore
Brett Lockbaum for his fifth goal of the year to even the score.
As neither team managed to break the tie, the game moved to overtime. The Cavaliers recorded the only two shots in overtime. The first shot by
Kyle Johnson was saved by Rosemont goalie Nick Hulayew. The second, by freshman
George Lambritsios, was a rebound off Johnson's shot. It proved to be the game winner.
Today's win marked the final regular season appearance at Edith Robb Dixon Field by Cabrini seniors

Cabrini will travel to Langhorne, Pa. on Tuesday to face Philadelphia Biblical University. The match is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
