RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini men's basketball team notched its 12th straight victory on Thursday night, rolling past Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Rosemont College, 81-59, at Nerney Field House. The win is also the Cavaliers' 30th straight at home against a conference foe, the longest active home conference win streak in the country.

The victory sustains Cabrini's two-game advantage in the CSAC standings with three contests remaining in the regular season. The Cavaliers' also claimed the postseason tournament's No. 1 seed and home-court advantage last season en route to the conference crown and NCAA Tournament.

Senior forward Dom Farrello recorded his sixth career double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Farrello shot an efficient 7-for-11 from the field overall and 4-of-6 from beyond the 3-point arc. His 1,095 career points moves him in to 11th place on the program's all-time list, surpassing Anthony Dade (1,088; 1983-87).

Junior guard John Boyd and freshman forward Fran Rafferty each kicked in 10 points. Boyd shot 4-for-7 overall and 2-of-3 from long range. Rafferty shot 4-of-6 and also knocked down 2-of-3 tries from the perimeter.

Freshman center Jon Miller also chipped in 10 points and gathered six rebounds in 20 minutes played off the bench. The Cavaliers' offense boasted four scorers in double figures for the 11th time in 2010-11.

Cabrini put its foot on the gas early versus the Ravens, accelerating to a 15-0 advantage with the opening 3:16. The Cavaliers led by as much as 22 points, 35-13, with 9:15 remaining in the first half.

However, a scoreless drought that lasted nearly seven minutes to close the opening period and a 21-8 run from Rosemont closed the gap to only eight points, 42-34, at the 17:55 mark of the second half.

Yet, a 29-10 run over the next 11 minutes re-asserted a 27-point cushion, 71-44, with 6:50 left. The Blue & White led by as much as 28 points, 79-51, in the final three minutes.

The Cavaliers shot a torrid 55.2 percent from the floor in the first half and an even-more scorching 62.1 percent in the second half. Cabrini has shot better than 50.0 percent from the field in a half 17 times this season.

Sophomore Justin Chaney shot only 3-for-13 from the field, but led the Ravens in scoring with 14 points. Sophomore guard Nick Quigley tallied 11 points for Rosemont (6-15, 4-10 CSAC) in the loss.

Cabrini's current 12-game win streak is its longest under the leadership of third-year head coach Marcus Kahn. The victory also improves the Cavaliers' record to 43-6 against CSAC opponents overall and a perfect 23-0 in conference play at home with Kahn at the helm.

The Cavaliers' 30-game home conference win streak includes the postseason and dates back to a 69-59 win versus Immaculata University on Feb. 2, 2008.

Overall, the victory stands as Cabrini's 22nd straight at Nerney Field House, dating back to the start of the 2009-10 regular season. The Blue & White's last loss at home came in a 79-67 season-ending defeat against Washington & Jefferson College in the ECAC Championship on March 8, 2009.

Cabrini (18-4, 14-1) plays its second of three straight at home on Saturday, Feb. 12 against Marywood University. Game time against the Pacers is set for 4 p.m. Both the men and women's basketball programs will celebrate their annual Alumni Days on Saturday.
