Men's Basketball Wins 13th Straight, Clinches No. 1 Seed in CSAC Tournament

The Cabrini men's basketball team is the No. 1 seed in the CSAC Tournament for the second straight season.

RADNOR, Pa. –
For the second straight season, the Cabrini men's basketball team is the No. 1 seed in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Tournament following a clinching 90-76 win against Marywood University on Saturday afternoon at Nerney Field House. The victory is the Cavaliers' 30th consecutive at home against a conference opponent and their 23rd in a row at home overall.

Senior forward Dom Farrello tallied a career-high 33 points in the victory, shooting 10-for-17 overall and a perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line. Farrello narrowly missed his seventh career double-double with nine rebounds, and also mixing in four steals and three assists.

Sophomore point guard Cory Lemons scored 18 points, knocking down 8-of-10 field goal attempts. Junior guard John Boyd notched 11 points and dished out four assists.

Freshman guard Keefer Francis posted nine points in 15 minutes played as a reserve. Senior guard Lamar Fisher and sophomore center Goran Dulac each totaled six points. Dulac corralled seven boards while Fisher gathered six.

The Cavaliers owned an eight-point advantage, 41-33, at halftime and led by only three points, 57-54, with 12:50 remaining. Yet, an 11-2 run over the next three minutes established a comfortable 12-point lead, 68-56, at the 9:38 mark.

Cabrini led by as much as 16 points, 90-74, with 1:07 remaining. The Cavaliers shot 65.4 percent from the field in the second half.

Farrello scored 21 of his 33 points after halftime. He now moves into ninth place on the Blue & White's all-time scoring list with 1,128 career points, surpassing former Cavaliers John Keating (1,096; 1978-82) and teammate Kevin Misevicius (1,123; 2008-10).

Lemons tallied 11 points in the second half on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting overall.

Senior forward John Foreman led three scorers in double figures for the Pacers with 16 points. Senior guard Lenny Martin and sophomore guard Jacques Robinson each tallied 13 points.

Cabrini out-scored Marywood in the paint, 42-34, and off turnovers, 24-16.

The win extends the nation's longest active home conference win streak to 31 games. It is also the 23rd straight win at Nerney Field House overall, dating back to the start of the 2009-10 regular season.

Cabrini will be seeded No. 1 in the CSAC Tournament for the second straight season. The Cavaliers earned the No. 1 seed last season en route to the conference crown and NCAA Tournament.

Cabrini (19-4, 15-1) plays its final home game of the regular season on Monday, Feb. 14 against Baptist Bible College. Prior to the game's tip, the Cavaliers will honor the program's two seniors, Farrello and Fisher. Game time is set for approximately 8 p.m.
