RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini College men's soccer team fell to the DeSales University Bulldogs 2-1 this afternoon at Edith Dixon Field.  The loss drops the Cavaliers record to 3-3.

The Blue and White fell behind midway through the first half when the Bulldogs opened the scoring in the game's 22nd minute.  The Cavaliers had their opportunities to tie the game but failed to convert any of their seven first half corner kicks.

Though Cabrini allowed the Bulldogs' second goal in the 53rd minute, the Cavaliers continued to battle.

In the game's 71st minute, freshman Matt Sabin controlled the ball deep in the corner and beat a defender before slotting a pass to senior Jim Mattock who calmly slipped the ball into the net, slicing Cabrini's deficit in half.  The goal was Mattock's second of the season.

It looked as though the Cavaliers had their chance in the 78th minute when the referee's called for a Cabrini penalty kick.  Senior Anthony Girolamo sent the ball toward the right corner, but the long arms of DeSales goalkeeper Mike Thompson pushed the shot out of danger.

The Cavaliers will welcome the Eastern College Eagles to Edith Robb Dixon Field on Saturday, September 17. The action is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m.
