RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini College Cavaliers exploded in the second half to overtake the visiting Centenary College Cyclones 108-92 at Nerney Field House on Monday night.  The win not only improved the Cavaliers to 12-1 overall and 7-0 in the CSAC, but also extended their home win streak to 35 games.

The Cavaliers shot an astounding 72.7% (24-33) from the field after the break, including 5-8 from behind the three-point arc. 

Sophomore Fran Rafferty led the Cavaliers with a career-high 28 points on 12-19 shooting and grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.  Senior guard Cory Lemons added 17 points, nine assist, and five steals.

Senior guard John Boyd was a perfect 4-4 from the floor, including two three-pointers, for 14 points, while junior forward Goran Dulac went 2-4 from beyond the arc en route to 12 points.

The Cavaliers got off to an early 10-0 lead less than two minutes into the game, but the Cyclone rallied to tie the score at 16.  Each time the Blue and White attempted to pull away, Centenary knocked down a big shot to stay within reach. 

The Cyclones managed to tie the score five times in the first half, before taking their first lead of the game with 2:31 to play. 

By the break, Centenary led 47-42 on the strength of 54.8% from the floor and 6-9 from beyond the arc.  Lemons and Dulac led the Cavaliers with 10 points each before the break.

Whatever Cabrini head coach Marcus Kahn said during the break certainly worked on the offensive side of the floor.  A Cyclone three-pointer extended their lead to five points before the Cavaliers rallied for a 20-5 run, culminating with Rafferty's three-pointer. 

Less than five minutes after trailing by five, Cabrini secured a 10-point advantage and control of the game. 

The Blue and White turned up its defensive pressure, forcing 12 second half turnovers leading to 19 points.  Cabrini's eight second half steals also helped pick-up the Cavaliers' offensive tempo to the tune of a 16-0 advantage in fast break points.

Junior Max Hughes led the Cyclones with 20 points. Freshman Zhimir Butler added 17 points for Centenary in the loss.

In addition to extending their overall home win streak to 35 games, the Cavaliers also recorded their 38th consecutive home CSAC victory.  The Blue and White have not lost to a CSAC opponent on the Nerney Field House floor since January 31, 2008 when they lost 74-68 to Gwynedd-Mercy College.

Cabrini's last overall home loss came on March 8, 2009 in the third round of the ECAC tournament.  The Cavaliers fell to Washington & Jefferson 79-67.  

The Cavaliers will hit the road on Wednesday when they travel down the Main Line to face Rosemont College.  Tip-off is scheduled for approximately 8:00 p.m. following the women's game.
