Box Score

GWYNEDD, Pa. – The Cabrini College men's soccer team remained unbeaten in Colonial States Athletic Conference action after today's 2-2 double-overtime tie at Gwynedd-Mercy College.  The Blue and White's record now stands at 4-5-2 overall, 2-0-1 in the CSAC.

The Cavaliers took an early lead as sophomore George Lambritsios found senior Ryan Juhring for his first goal of the season in the fifth minute, marking Cabrini's earliest goal of the season.

The Griffins evened the score in the 17th minute as Christian Pembroke found the back of the net.  Gwynedd-Mercy's Ryan Roedel gave the Griffins a 2-1 lead in the 34th minute.

Though the Cavaliers trailed 2-1 at the break, it was not for a lack of effort, as the Blue and White outshot Gwynedd-Mercy 9-3 in the first half.  Griffins' goaltender Greg Gengaro was up to the task, recording six saves before the break.

Cabrini trailed until the 64th minute when Lambritsios paired an unassisted goal with his earlier assist.  With his fourth goal of the season, the sophomore matched his scoring total from his freshman year.

The Blue and White posted five shots during the 20 minutes of extra time, but again Gengaro was on point, with four saves in overtime.

On the night, the Cavaliers fired 18 shots towards Gwynedd-Mercy's net to the Griffins' eight.  Lambritsios, senior Kyle Johnson and freshman Nick Nikic led the attack with three shots on goal each.

Cabrini's junior net minder Eric Nowicki recorded a pair of saves on the night.  Gengaro finished the game with 12 saves.

The Cavaliers will return to the pitch on Saturday as they face defending CSAC champion Neumann University.  The action will get underway at 3:00 p.m. in Aston, Pa.
