RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini College men's basketball team clinched a spot in the 2012 Colonial States Athletic Conference tournament final with tonight's 87-68 win over the visiting Immaculata University Mighty Macs.  Friday's 7:00 p.m. final will be the Cavaliers fourth consecutive appearance in the tournament championship game.

The Blue and White (25-1) displayed a balanced offensive effort with four players reaching double figure scoring and another just shy of the mark.  Senior Cory Lemons led the Cavaliers with 23 points on 9-17 shooting.  Sophomore Fran Rafferty and junior Jeremy Knowles added 15 points, while senior John Boyd tallied 13 points.

After scoring the game's opening bucket, the Mighty Mac put up six straight points before the Cavaliers responded.  A Boyd three-pointer powered Cabrini to a 19-2 spurt to take a 23-10 midway through the first half.

Immaculata trimmed Cabrini's lead back to three points with a 10-0 run of their own.  With just under five minutes until the break, the Mighty Macs chiseled Cabrini's lead back to one, but the Blue and White responded with three-pointer by junior A.J. Williams. 

Cabrini took a 39-34 lead into the halftime break.  Statistically, both teams played the first half very evenly.  Cabrini shot 42.3% from the floor to Immaculata's 50%.  Knowles led the Cavaliers in the first half with 10 points on 5-5 shooting.

The Mighty Macs returned to the floor with renewed intensity, turning Cabrini's lead into a 47-46 deficit with 16:17 to play.  On its next trip, the Blue and White regained the lead and control of the game.

Lemons found Rafferty for a lay-up, sending the Cavaliers 17-4 run, led by Lemons' seven points and three assists.  With 11:44 on the clock, Cabrini found itself with a 63-51 lead.

This time, the Cavaliers did not let the Mighty Macs back into the game.  Cabrini continued to pressure Immaculata on the defensive end, while working the clock and racking up points on the offensive side.

Once again, Lemons all-around game was on display as the senior narrowly missed a triple-double, pairing 11 assists with his nine rebounds.  Freshman Aaron Walton-Moss posted nine points and a game-high 13 rebounds off the bench.

Cabrini dominated the glass to the tune of a 56-32 rebound advantage. Rafferty joined Lemons with nine rebounds.  Lemons and Walton-Moss each grabbed five of Cabrini's 23 offensive rebounds. 

Senior Rob Siter led three Mighty Macs (11-16) in double-figures with 21 points on 9-12 shooting.  Junior Nelson Torres added 18, while sophomore Brandon Smith tallied 14 points.

The Cavaliers will host Keystone College in Friday's CSAC Final.  The Giants downed Neumann University 98-75 in Tuesday's other semifinal. 

The Blue and White has emerged victorious in both meetings with Keystone this year, winning 95-92 in an early December home game and 96-85 road win on February 15.
