RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini College softball team extended its current win streak to six games with today's 12-0 and 16-2 wins over the visiting Notre Dame (Md.) Gators.  The victories improve the Cavaliers to 10-4 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) and 15-13 overall.

This marks Cabrini's longest win streak since April 17-27 when the Cavaliers posted seven consecutive victories.

The Blue and White opened the game with the solid hitting it has displayed in its recent wins.  Cabrini's first six players reached base with two singles, two errors a walk and a two-run home run from senior Angela Shookster.  Twelve Cavaliers stepped to the plate as Cabrini plated seven runs.

The Cavaliers extended their lead to 11-0 after scoring four runs in the third frame.  Shookster added a pair of RBI's with a two–run single, scoring junior Taylor McGarvey and senior Sammy Thompson.

Freshman Rebecca Miles' single through the left side scored fellow freshman Jessica Irvin in the fourth inning.

Junior pitcher Missy Miller put on another stellar performance in the pitching circle.  The junior threw her second consecutive one hit shutout, while recording a pair of strike outs and walks.

Junior Lindsey Atzert completed her second career four hit game, going 4-4 with two runs scored. Shookster finished the opener 2-3 with four RBI's and two runs scored.

The Cavaliers started game two slowly, plating two runs in the first inning.  After a leadoff double, Thompson scored on a wild pitch. Atzert scored on a Shookster sacrifice fly. The Gators tied the score with a pair of runs in the top of the second.

Junior Pitcher Marcelle Crist opened the second inning with a triple, before scoring on freshman Lea Enoch's single to left field.

Cabrini's bats re-emerged in the third inning as the Cavaliers erupted for seven runs in the frame.  Shookster led the charge with a single before advancing to second on a wild pitch.

Miles and freshman Stephanie Diegel followed with back-to-back RBI doubles.  Enoch and Thompson also recorded RBI two-baggers.

After a defensive stand, the Cavaliers returned to the plate, putting the game away with six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.  The Blue and White knocked out six hits, including an RBI double by Atzert, and two Notre Dame errors in the inning.

Thompson, Atzert and Enoch led Cabrini with three hits each in the nightcap.  Enoch also recorded three RBI's, while Atzert and Shookster added a pair.

Crist allowed two earned runs in evening her record at 7-7 on the year.

The Blue and White will look to extend this streak on Friday when they welcome Neumann University to Cabrini Field for a CSAC double dip.  First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
