RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini College softball team suffered a pair of losses to Baptist Bible College today in the Cavaliers' regular season finale.
The Blue and White closed its regular season with an overall record of 17-23 and 11-11 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) after today's 8-5 and 10-7 losses.
The Defenders took an early 1-0 lead in game one, but the Cavaliers evened the score in the bottom of the inning when freshman Stephanie Diegel's single scored senior
Angela Shookster.
A run in the top of the second briefly returned the lead to BBC, but again Cabrini rallied. Junior
Lindsey Atzert's single plated fellow juniors
Missy Miller and
Taylor McGarvey, giving Cabrini a 2-1 lead.
The Defenders regained the lead with singles runs in the third and fourth innings. Trailing 4-3, freshman
Lea Enoch singled to open the bottom of the fourth. The rookie circled the bases on three wild pitches, tying the score at four with three innings to play.
Baptist Bible continued its consistent scoring, scoring a pair of runs in both the top of the fifth and seventh innings. Cabrini had runners on second and third with no outs in the sixth and loaded the bases in the seventh, but scored only one run.

Ryan McDonough, junior
Marcelle Crist and Enoch posted two base knocks each while Atzert knocked in a pair of runs.
The Cavaliers got the sticks going early in game two as freshman Rebecca Miles hit her third home run of the season, a three-run shot scoring Atzert and Shookster.
Atzert's RBI triple in the bottom of the second scored Crist, giving the Cavaliers a 4-0 lead through two innings.
Cabrini's bats went silent in the game's middle innings, as the Blue and White mustered just two hits between the third and sixth innings.
The Defenders took full advantage, chipping away at Cabrini's lead before exploding for six runs on seven hits in the top of the sixth inning. A pair of runs in the top of the seventh gave Baptist Bible a commanding 10-4 lead.
McDonough doubled off the center field fence to open the seventh, before Miles drew a walk.
Diegel stepped to the plate and in one swing cut Cabrini's deficit in half with her sixth home run of the season. Her three run homer cut Baptist Bible's lead to 10-7 but the Cavaliers could get no closer.
Miles recorded a pair of hits and runs scored and three RBI's in the loss.
Today's doubleheader marked the final regular season games for Cabrini seniors

Angela Shookster and
Sammy Thompson. The trio appeared in a combined 451 out of 456 possible games, recording 447 starts.
The ladies hit a combined .316 with 442 hits, 271 runs scored and 262 RBI's. They led the Cavaliers to a 53-35 CSAC record and three league tournament appearances.
