READING, Pa. – The Cabrini College men's soccer team fell to 2-5-1 on the year after tonight's 1-0 loss at Alvernia.
In a game that was played mainly in the middle third of the pitch, the Crusaders' Alex Martyn scored the game's lone goal in the 36th minute when he converted a Ricky Bruno pass.
Alvernia secured four first half corner kicks to Cabrini's two, but the Cavaliers outshot the Crusaders 5-2 before the break.
Neither team could capture the game's momentum in the second half, as the teams combined for just five total shots and a pair of corner kicks.

Kyle Johnson led the Blue and White with two shots on the game.
The Cavaliers will return to the pitch on Saturday as they open Colonial States Athletic Conference action with a visit from the Cairn University Highlanders.
The game is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. as the final of four Cabrini home games as part of the College's Family Weekend festivities.
