DOVER, Del. – The Cabrini College men's basketball team had its three game win streak snapped this evening as the Blue and White suffered a 92-77 loss at Wesley College. The Cavaliers fall to 7-4 on the season in the teams' first meeting since 2006 when both were members of the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference.

A.J. Williams led four Cavaliers in double figuring scoring on the night. The senior guard scored a career-high 22 points on 8-19 shooting and recorded a career-best five steals. Junior

Jeremy Knowles added 11 points.
The teams battles back and forth in the early going but about seven minutes into play, the Wolverines began to assert their will. Wesley went on a 12-0 lead to build a 23-10 midway through the opening stanza. The combination of Wesley's solid shooting and Cabrini's offensive troubles allowed the Wolverines to extend their lead to a game-high 20 points at 42-22 with 3:20 to play in the half.
The Cavaliers responded on their next possession. Rafferty's jumper sent the Blue and White on a run of its own, as Cabrini closed the half on a 15-3 spurt. After 20 minutes of action, the Cavaliers trailed 45-37.
Cabrini continued its hot shooting into the second half, knocking down eight of its first nine field goal attempts. The Cavaliers opened the half on a 21-7 run, taking a 58-52 lead five minutes into the second half. The Wolverines responded with a 9-1 run of their own to regain the lead at 61-59 with 11:17 to play.
The remained tight through the next eight minute stretch, as the lead was exchanged five times and was tied four times. With 3:53, the teams found themselves still tied at 74. Over the next 1:40, the Cavaliers committed four fouls and missed shots and a pair of free throws. The Wolverines took advantage connecting on 7-7 from the free throw line during that span to build an 84-74 lead with just over two minutes to play. A Rafferty three pointer cut the deficit to seven, but Wesley went 6-7 from the charity stripe in the game's final minutes to seal the win.
Senior Paul Reynolds led the Wolverines (11-4) with 23 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals. Junior David Langan posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The Cavaliers will return to Colonial States Athletic Conference play on Saturday, when they welcome the Cairn University Highlanders to Nerney Field House as part of a women's and men's doubleheader. The ladies will host Keystone College at 1:00 p.m., with the men's game to follow at 3:00 p.m.
