RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men's soccer team fought through rain and a tough Neumann University club to earn a 1-0 victory over the Knights in tonight's Colonial States Athletic Conference match at Edith Robb Dixon Field. The win improves the Blue and White to 4-1 in the conference and 7-6-2 overall.
With today's result, the Cavaliers move into a first place tie atop the league standings with 12 points. Marywood (4-0), Neumann (4-1) and Centenary (4-1) join Cabrini in the top spot.
The game's lone goal came in the 28th minute. Cabrini gained a direct kick that was played into Neumann's penalty area. Freshman
A.J. Bishop was able to get his head on the ball, deflecting it to senior
Brett Lockbaum who redirected the ball into the net for his fifth goal of the season.
The Cavaliers held a slim 9-7 advantage in shots, led by sophomore

Eric Nowicki recorded four saves to earn his fourth shutout of the season.
Neumann's senior goaltender Alex Lacko tallied six saves for the Knights (9-4-2, 4-1 CSAC).
The Blue and White will hit the road on Saturday, as they pay a visit to Baptist Bible College (5-10-1, 3-3-1 CSAC) in Clarks Summit, Pa. Game time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
