CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – The Cabrini men's soccer team held on to its share of first place in the Colonial States Athletic Conference with today's 2-1 victory at Baptist Bible College.  At 5-1 in the CSAC and 8-6-2 overall, the Blue and White are tied with Marywood and Centenary atop the standings with 15 points.

The match remained scoreless until late in the first half.  Sophomore Andrew Welsh found junior Christian Martin for the junior's first goal of the season.  

The Defenders evened the score in the 60th minute on Wagner Heitner's tally.  The Blue and White broke the deadlock in the 73rd minute when freshman A.J. Bishop converted a penalty kick for his team-leading ninth goal of the season.

The Cavaliers outshot the Defenders 25-8, limiting Baptist Bible to just three shots on goal.  Bishop and senior C.J. Doherty led the way with four shots each, while rookies Mo Konneh and Bobby Kane fired three each.

Senior goaltender Eric Nowicki earned the victory with a pair of saves.

The Blue and White return to action on Wednesday, when they welcome Immaculata University (2-13, 1-6 CSAC) to Edith Robb Dixon Field.  The CSAC match is slated for 4:00 p.m.
