The score remained 1-0 until the 74th minute when freshman
Bobby Kane found junior
Rey Jimenez at the top of the penalty area, where Jimenez fired a shot into the left corner of the net for his third tally of the year.
Cabrini held the Highlanders to just one shot on the day, while firing nine of its own. Senior
Brett Lockbaum led the way with two shots, while seven other players recorded on each. Senior netminder
Eric Nowicki maintained his fifth clean sheet of the season without needing a save.
Dave Shaffer posted five saves for the Highlanders (8-10-1, 2-6 CSAC).
With just five total matches remaining on the CSAC slate, the Cavaliers have closed their season in second place. Though Cabrini has already clinched a postseason berth, the result of the league's final games could have an effect on the club's tournament seed.
