LA PLUME, Pa. – The Cabrini men's soccer team continued its solid play, extending its win streak to six with today's 4-0 victory at Keystone College. The victory improves the Cavaliers to 3-0 in Colonial States Athletic Conference action and 6-5-2 overall.
Freshman
A.J. Bishop put the Blue and White on the board in the 14th minute when he converted a direct kick for his eighth goal in the last six games. Senior
C.J. Doherty got on the board in the 35th minute when he converted a pass from sophomore
Mike Camacho for his fourth goal of the season.
The Cavaliers held its 2-0 advantage until the 61st minute when freshman
Bobby Kane tallied his first collegiate goal from 12 yards out. Senior
Ryan Cerrato closed the scoring in the 83rd minute when his shot from 30 yards out beat the Giants' goaltender.
The Blue and White fired 21 shots on the day, the eighth consecutive match it has recorded at least 14. Junior
Sean Neary led the way with three, while four Cavaliers added two each.
Cabrini held Keystone to just five shots on the day, forcing the Blue and White's senior goaltender
Eric Nowicki to make two saves for his third shutout of the year.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Saturday when they visit Hackettstown, N.J. to face Centenary College (4-5-2, 1-1 CSAC). Game time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
