Box Score

RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men's soccer team advanced to Thursday's Colonial States Athletic Conference semifinal round with a 5-0 win over Keystone College tonight at Edith Robb Dixon Field.   The victory improved the Blue and White to 11-7-2 on the season.

The Cavaliers took an early lead in the ninth minute as Keystone goaltender Dany O'Rourke misplayed a throw in from senior Brett Lockbaum, knocking the ball into the net.  The Blue and White doubled its lead in the 22nd minute when sophomore Boomer Steigelman's direct kick found senior C.J. Doherty.  The senior deposited the ball in the net for his sixth goal of the season.

Eight minutes later, freshman Bobby Kane increased the lead when he converted a pass from junior Sean Neary into his fourth career goal.  Junior Rey Jimenez closed the first half scoring in the 44th minute when he collected a loose ball and fired it into the Keystone net from about 25 yards out, tallying his fourth goal of the year.

Lockbaum closed the scoring in the 58th minute, as he was on the scoring side of a cross from freshman A.J. Bishop for the senior's sixth goal of the year.

Cabrini outshot Keystone 21-9, including 9-3 in shots on goal.  Bishop led the club with eight shots, while Kane added three.  Senior Eric Nowicki recorded three saves to earn his sixth shutout of the season.

The Cavaliers will travel to Hackettstown, N.J. on Thursday to face the tournament's second seed, Centenary College (11-5-2, 8-1 CSAC).  A start time for the match has not yet been announced.

The Cyclones scored a 1-0 victory over Cabrini in the teams' regular season meeting.  The game's lone tally came in the 50th minute when Centenary's Nick DePasquale connected on a crossing pass.  The Blue and White's best chance at a game-tying goal came off Doherty's foot but his attempt found the cross bar.
