SCRANTON, Pa. – The Cabrini College men's basketball posted a resounding road victory to close its 2012-13 regular season tonight. The Cavaliers improved to 20-5 overall and 16-2 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference with an 81-56 win over Marywood.
The Cavaliers' ninth consecutive victory gives the Blue and White its 20th 20 win season and fifth consecutive under head coach Marcus Kahn. The win also gives the current senior class 100 victories.

Fran Rafferty led four Cavaliers in double figures with 17 points, including 5-6 from three point range. Senior

The Cavaliers jumped out to an early six point lead as McDaniels and Rafferty connected on threes in the game's first minute. Another Rafferty trey extended the advantage to 18-8 five minutes into the action. McDaniels and Rafferty led the Blue and White on a quick 9-0 spurt later in the half with three consecutive three point jumpers, building the Cabrini lead to 45-26 with five minutes left in the opening half.
The Blue and White held a commanding 52-27 lead after an opening 20 minutes in which it connected on 20-33 from the floor. Led by Rafferty's five three pointers, Cabrini shot 9-14 from deep, while recording 15 assist on 20 field goals and just three turnovers.
Cabrini showed no let-up in the second half as it back-to-back-to-back lay-ups by sophomore
Aaron Walton-Moss extended the lead to 67-37 midway through the half.
Fourteen Cavaliers saw action in tonight's game, with 11 notching the scoring column. Walton-Moss finished with eight points and shared game high rebounding honors with Dulac with eight boards.
At 31-60 from the field, tonight marks the fifth consecutive game the Cavaliers have connected on more than 50% from the floor and the second straight game the Blue and White has connected on 10 three pointers.
Freshman Andrew Andrle led Marywood (6-19, 5-13 CSAC) with 11 points, while sophomore Kendall Harris and junior Ryan Corrigan added 10 points each.
By virtue of their 16-2 conference mark, the Cavaliers have secured a bye into the semifinal of the upcoming CSAC Tournament. The Blue and White will host a semifinal round game on Tuesday at Nerney Field House. Game time has not yet been determined. Cabrini will face the lowest remaining seed after Saturday's first round games.
