RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini College softball team 's hope for a postseason tournament berth took a hit today, as the Blue and White dropped a pair of home games to Centenary College. The 4-1 and 2-0 losses sent the Cavaliers to 9-9 in the CSAC and 10-20 overall. With just four games remaining, Cabrini sits one game behind Keystone for the tournament's six seed.
The Cyclones jumped ahead immediately in the opener, as Cara Montferrat opened the game with a home run. The Cavaliers tied the score in the bottom of the frame, as freshman
Kaitlyn Cooper's double down the left field line scored senior
Lindsey Atzert. After a scoreless second inning, Centenary doubled its lead in the third on Montferrat second solo round tripper of the game.
Cabrini threatened in the fourth inning as sophomore

Molly McDougall reached on singles with one out, but were eventually stranded. A sixth inning infield single extended Centenary's lead to 3-1. The Cyclones added an insurance run in the seventh on an Erin Walsh homer.
The Cavaliers recorded just five base knocks in game one and stranded six runners. Senior
Missy Miller took the loss after allowing four earned runs on 10 hits.
The Cavaliers fell behind early in the second game as well. Montferrat walked to open the game and scored on a double by Katie Ciecwisz. Both pitchers, senior
Marcelle Crist for the Blue and White and Cetenary's Megan Madsen, controlled must of the game.
Cabrini mounted a rally in the bottom of the fifth inning. Atzert reached on an error before Cooper's infield single. A Centenary error allowed sophomore
Steph Diegel to reach first, loading the bases with just one out. A fly ball and ground out left the bags full, ending the threat.
Centenary extended its lead in the top of the seventh frame, as Montferrat clubbed her third home run of the afternoon. The Blue and White put itself in a position to rally in its final at bat. Atzert singled to right and advanced to second on senior
Taylor McGarvey's infield single. Cooper reached on a Centenary error, loading the bases with no outs.
The Cyclones went to the bullpen, bringing in Roxanne Keelan. The senior forced three consecutive ground outs, with two outs coming as force outs at the plate, to secure the Centenary win.
Crist took the loss, allowing a pair of earned runs on nine hits. Cooper led the Cavaliers with two of the clubs hits in the loss.
The Cavaliers will host their regular season home finale on Friday, as they host the Marywood University Pacers. The CSAC doubleheader is slated to begin at 3:00 p.m.
