Lemons Impresses in Pro Debut

TAMPA BAY, Fla. – Former Cabrini men's basketball standout Cory Lemons has made an immediate impact with the Tamps Bay Rebels semi-pro basketball team.  After just one game with the Rebels, Lemons was named Florida Basketball Association Player of the Week, for the week ending June 9.

In his first professional game, Lemons tallied 30 points, 30 points on 11 for 20 shooting and was a perfect 7 for 7 from the free throw line. He added 7 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 steals and a block leading the Rebels to a 114-109 win over the Heartland Prowl.

Lemons, a 2012 D3hoops.com First Team All-American, is among the best players to don the Blue and White.  Lemons' 1,479 career points rank third on Cabrini's all-time list, while he tops the assist list with 545.  Lemons also ranks sixth in steal with 161 and 15th in rebounding with 508.

A two-time Colonial States Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Lemons led the Cavaliers to three consecutive CSAC championships and a trip to the 2012 NCAA Tournament championship game, the college's first NCAA Tournament championship game appearance.
