CAMDEN, N.J. – The Cabrini men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, falling to No. 18 Rutgers University-Camden 2-0 today.  The loss drops the Blue and White to 0-1-2 on the young season.

The game remained scoreless until the 39th minute when the Scarlet Raptors converted a loose ball inside Cabrini's penalty area.  The score remained 1-0 until
the 86th minute when Rutgers-Camden netted an insurance goal.

The Scarlet Raptors controlled much of the play, outshooting Cabrini 27-7, including a 14-3 advantage in the second half.  Rutgers-Camden also forced eight corner kicks to the Blue and White's three.   

Sophomore Boomer Steigelman tallied both of Cabrini's shots on goal, while senior goaltender Eric Nowicki posted five saves on the night.

Juan Rojas and Connor Hurff netted the goals for Rutgers-Camden (2-0).

The Cavalier will return to action on Friday as they host Lebanon Valley College (2-0) in the opener of the Eagle Road Classic.  Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
