RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini volleyball team extended its win streak to nine matches after sweeping tonight's Colonial States Athletic Conference doubleheader at Nerney Field House. The Cavaliers downed Keystone College and Cedar Crest College by matching 3-0 scores to improve to 15-5 overall and 6-0 in the CSAC.
Freshman
Chelsea Jones and
Anne-Marie Jones led the Blue and White in the night's first match, a 25-13, 25-18, 25-14 win over Keystone.
Chelsea Jones posted a match high 14 kills, while
Anne-Marie Jones paired 12 kills and five digs.
Junior setter
Cassidy Koenig tallied 22 assists, four more than senior
Amy Guarino, while both added eight digs. Sophomore
Kelly Guarino scored 11 digs, one more than sophomore
Nicole Sokolovich.
The break between matches did nothing to slow the Cavaliers' attack, as it recorded a 25-12, 25-9, 25-16 victory over Cedar Crest in the night cap.
Anne-Marie Jones was on her game again, leading Cabrini with 13 kills. Koenig added 24 assists to her nine digs and four service aces.
Kelly Guarino totaled 15 digs in the win, while
Amy Guarino and junior Harley Scanlan added six digs each.
The Blue and White will travel to Scranton, Pa. on Friday night to face Marywood University (9-6, 6-1 CSAC) in conference action. First serve is slated for 7:00 p.m.
