LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Cabrini volleyball team extended its current win streak to 14 matches with tonight's 3-0 victory at Cairn University. The 25-18, 25-17, 25-18 win improved the Cavaliers to 20-5 overall and a perfect 9-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
The triumph also marks the seventh consecutive season that the Blue and White has reached the 20 win plateau.
Senior
Amy Guarino led the Cavaliers with 14 kills, three service aces and nine digs on the night. Junior
Christine Ingargiola added nine kills, one more than freshman
Anne-Marie Jones. Junior
Jen Grenauer posted six kills.
Junior
Cassidy Koenig controlled the offense with 30 assists, leaving her just 35 assists shy of the Cabrini all-time record of 2,810 held by Lizzie Williams (2006-09).
Jones also tallied eight digs, while sophomore
Nicole Sokolovich added seven.
The win also sets up Sunday's showdown against Neumann University (19-9, 9-0 CSAC). First serve is slated for 4:00 p.m. at Nerney Field House.
With just a few conference matches remaining in the regular season, the winner of Sunday's action earns an inside track to home court advantage in the upcoming CSAC tournament.
