RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini field hockey team continued its winning ways today, as the club scored an 8-2 win over the visiting Marywood University Pacers. The victory, the fifth consecutive for the Cavaliers, improved the club to 6-3 overall and 2-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
While four Cavaliers found the back of the net, it was junior
Kerry Anne Farrell and sophomore
Taylor Mack who recorded program and personal history.
Farrell scored the first of her three goals just 16 seconds into the game. The junior's 11th goal of the season also marked the 100th point of her career, reaching the plateau in just 45 games.
The junior surpassed the century mark with her second goal just 81 seconds later, as she converted a pass from freshman
Jackie Neary.
Mack jumped into the scoring column with three consecutive goals, coming in the seventh, ninth and 19th minutes. The three goals and six points marked a career high and marked Mack's first multi-goal game.
Farrell joined Mack with a first half hat trick inthe 22nd minute, as fellow junior
Jen Webb found her on a penalty corner.
The Pacers got on the board in the 24th minute, but the Cavaliers carried their 6-1 lead into the halftime break.
After two first half assists, senior
Karlie Gruccio found the back of the net on a 37th minute penalty corner from Webb.
Freshman
Alex Swallow netted her first career goal in the 41st minute to close the Blue and White scoring.

Monica Rego made her first career start, recording three saves. Junior
Kate Stevens and freshman
Melanie Carpenter also saw time in the Blue and White net, combining for three saves.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Tuesday, as they travel to Baltimore to face Notre Dame of Maryland University (2-4, 0-2 CSAC). Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
