READING, Pa. – The Cabrini field hockey team suffered its first loss in 52 days today, as the Cavaliers dropped its regular season finale 3-1 at Alvernia University. The loss closes the Blue and White's regular season 12-4.
The Crusaders jumped ahead in the 19th minute, tallying the only score of the opening 35 minutes of action.

The game was tied for 16 seconds, as Alvernia notched the eventual game-winner before adding an insurance goal in the 66th minute.
Cabrini accounted for just four of the game's 11 shots in the defensive battle, including just one on goal.

Taylor Bookman recorded two saves in the loss.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. when they welcome Immaculata University (7-12, 3-4 CSAC) to Edith Robb Dixon Field for a Colonial States Athletic Conference semifinal game. The winner will advance to Saturday's CSAC championship game.
