LANCASTER, Pa. – The Cabrini volleyball team saw its 18 match win streak come to an end in today's regular season finale, as the Cavaliers split a pair of matches at the Franklin & Marshall College tri-match.
The Blue and White downed Dickinson College 3-0 before falling to the host Diplomats 3-1.
Cabrini closes the regular season with a record of 24-6, second most wins in program history.
Senior
Amy Guarino posted her second triple-double of the season in the Blue and White's 25-16, 25-22, 25-22 win over Dickinson. The senior posted 12 kills, 11 assists and 10 digs in the win.
Freshman
Chelsea Jones added eight kills and three blocks, while junior
Jen Grenauer and freshman
Anne-Marie Jones tallied seven kills each.
Junior
Cassidy Koenig added 28 assists, while sophomore
Kelly Guarino scored 13 digs.
In the nightcap, the Cavaliers captured the opening set 25-20, before dropping the next three 25-18, 25-18, 25-15.
Amy Guarino added another double-double, her 12th of the season, with 15 kills and 10 digs. Grenauer added 10 kills, two more than
Anne-Marie Jones.
Cassidy totaled 34 assists in the loss, while
Amy Guarino recorded 20 digs and Ann-Marie Jones 10.
The Blue and White will return to action on Thursday, when it hosts a Colonial States Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal. The Cavaliers will face the lowest remaining seed after Tuesday's quarterfinal round.
