RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini volleyball team maintained its place at the top of the Colonial States Athletic Conference standings tonight, as the Cavaliers scored a 3-1 win over Neumann University in the CSAC championship match at Nerney Field House.
The Blue and White's victory marked its second consecutive CSAC championship and fifth title in the last six seasons. The win also improved the club to 26-6 on the season, second most wins in a season in program history.
With the win, the Cavaliers earn the CSAC's automatic bid to 2014 NCAA Tournament. Monday's NCAA Selection Show, slated to air on NCAA.com at 11 a.m. on Monday, will reveal the Cavaliers' fate for their fifth NCAA Tournament appearance.

Jen Grenauer was named the Championship Match Most Valuable Player after tallying a season high 14 kills. Senior
Amy Guarino added her 15th double-double of the season with 11 kills and 11 digs.

Cassidy Koenig totaled 40 assists and nine digs, while freshman
Anne-Marie Jones paired eight kills and 12 digs. Sophomore
Kelly Guarino added a match high 14 digs in the 25-16, 19-25, 25-18, 25-16 victory.
The Cavaliers took the floor with a sense of urgency, as they jumped on top of the Knights in the opening set. Cabrini scored the first three points of the match and extended its lead to 10-4 on a Neumann attack error.
The Knights got as close as 16-14 before sophomore
Nicole Sokolovich's serve led the Blue and White to the final five points of the opening set for a 25-16 win.
Neumann returned the favor in the second set, as the Knights built an early 6-1 lead. The Cavaliers battled back, tying the score at 11 and 15, before Neumann sophomore Kat Wolf led the Knights on a 6-0 spurt and a commanding 21-15 lead.
Both clubs went back and forth in the third set, as both looked to gain control of the momentum. With the score tied at 9-9, a kill by freshman
Chelsea Jones gave Cabrini control of the set. The Blue and White scored 10 of the next 13 points to build an 18-11 lead.
The Knights got no closer than six points, as Cabrini took a 2-1 lead with a 25-18 third set win.
Neumann did not go down without a fight, as both team exchanged points early in the fourth set, but it was a pair of 3-0 runs that were key for Cabrini. With the scored tied at 3-3, the first 3-0 spurt gave the Blue and White a small cushion. Minutes later, Cabrini extended its lead from 8-7 to 11-7.
The Knights rallied, cutting Cabrini's lead back to 14-13, but a Neumann service error effectively ended the match, as Cabrini earned 10 of the match's final 13 points, including a kill by junior
Christine Ingargiola that ended the match.
Senior Kelsey D'Imperio and junior Anna Waltz led Neumann (22-12) with 12 kills each, while Wolf paired 27 assists and a tam high 13 digs, one more than senior Danielle Kwapisz and junior Julia Malseed.
