Box Score 2 GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Cabrini softball team scored a pair of big conference wins today, as it looks to qualify for the CSAC playoffs. The Cavaliers improved to 11-5 in the CSAC and 16-15 overall with today's 7-4 and 8-0 wins at Gwynedd Mercy.

Kaitlyn Cooper. The Griffins grabbed the lead in the bottom of the first with a pair of runs and tacked on another in the third. Cabrini cut its deficit to 3-2 in the fourth, as freshman
Brianna Milillo reached on a fielder's choice that plated Diegel.
The Cavaliers completed their comeback in the sixth inning, scoring four runs with a two out rally. Diegel reached base after getting hit by a pitch and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. Freshman
Taylor Gallagher drew a walk before freshman
Natalie Giannascoli tied the game with a single to right center, scoring Diegel. Freshman
Taylor Mack put the Cavaliers ahead with her first career triple, plating Gallagher and Giannascoli. Mack crossed the plate as fellow rookie
Amber Dietrich reached on a Gwynedd Mercy error.
The Griffins got a run back in the bottom of the sixth but the Cavaliers had an answer. Gallagher's single to left field plated Cooper for a 7-4 lead. Gallagher closed the door on Gwynedd Mercy with a 1-2-3 seventh inning.
Diegel and fellow junior
Becca Miles recorded two base hits each, while Cooper and Diegel scores twice. Gallagher went the distance in the pitcher's circle, scattering eight hits and just one earned run with four strikeouts.
After three quiet innings in the nightcap, Cabrini's offense found its rhythm in the top of the fourth inning, grabbing a commanding 5-0 lead. Cooper led off the frame with her fourth home run of the season. Diegel followed with her first triple of the season before scoring on Miles' single.
Cabrini loaded the bases with one out before Mack's single to left scored Miles. Freshman
Lindsay Savar closed the scoring, as her single back through the bock scored Gallagher and sophomore
Lea Enoch.
The lead remained 5-0 until the seventh inning. The Blue and White took advantage of four walks to add a run to its lead. Giannascoli knocked in the final two runs with a single to right center that scored Diegel and Miles.
Freshman
Kiley Sharp was just that in the pitcher's circle, as the rookie allowed just four hits to record her third shutout of the season. Eight Cavaliers recorded a hit in the game, with just Giannascoli posting two hits and two RBI.
The Cavaliers will continue their busy week on Tuesday as they welcome Baptist Bible College (6-19, 4-10 CSAC) to Cabrini Field. First pitch of the CSAC doubleheader is slated for 3:00 p.m.
