LA PLUME, Pa. – The Cabrini field hockey team extended its winning streak to five games with today's 4-0 victory at Keystone College. With the club's 10th consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference victory, the Blue and White improves to 7-5 overall and 3-0 in league play.
Seniors
Tiffany Phillips and
Kerry Anne Farrell led the Cavaliers to victory, as the duo combined for four goals and three assists, to go with their 24 shots on the day.
Farrell put Cabrini on the board in the 15th minute, as she deflected shot from classmate
Danielle Palatano. Despite outshooting the Giants 12-2 in the opening 35 minutes, the Cavaliers only notched one goal.
The Cavaliers turned up the offensive pressure in the second half, outshooting Keystone 22-1. The pressure paid off in the 45th minute, as Farrell found Phillips alone in front of an empty net.
The duo connected again in the 62nd minute, as Farrell's crossing pass found Phillips' stick. The pair closed the scoring in the 69th minute, when Phillips one-timed a Farrell pass to the far post.
Cabrini's 34 shots and 29 shots on goal on the day marked season highs. Farrell's 17 shots also marked a career high, while Phillips' seven attempts tied a career best.

Taylor Bookman recorded one save to earn her fourth shutout of the season.
Senior Amy Denmon recorded 21 saves for the Giants (3-7, 2-1 CSAC). Breanna Paulson fired two of Keystone's three shots in the loss.
The Cavaliers will return to Edith Robb Dixon Field on Tuesday, as they host Gettysburg College (4-7, 1-4 Centennial) for the team's annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game. The nonconference tilt is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.
