RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini volleyball team extended its Colonial States Athletic Conference win streak to 33 matches with tonight's 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-16) victory over the visiting Immaculata University Mighty Macs.
With the victory, the Cavaliers improved to 17-6 overall and 7-0 in the CSAC. With tonight's win and a loss by Keystone College, the Blue and White is now in sole possession of first place in the CSAC and the league's only remaining undefeated club.
Tonight's match also marked the club's HEADStrong Foundation Game Day Fundraiser. The Cavaliers wore special warm-up t-shirts and HEADStrong shoe laces. The club also held a bake sale and 50/50 raffle, with all proceeds going to HEADStrong's mission of improving quality of life for those affected by cancer.
The Cavaliers used a balanced attack in tonight's victory, as three players recorded at least nine kills. Sophomore
Nicole Sokolovich led the way with 13 kills to go with three service aces and five digs, while junior
Christine Ingargiola added 10 kills and three block assists. Senior
Jen Grenauer totaled nine kills, four digs and a pair of blocks.

Cassidy Koenig recorded 37 of Cabrini's 41 assists in the win. Junior
Kelly Guarino tallied 12 digs, while freshman
Emily Shannon notched a career high four service aces.
After grabbing an early lead in the opening set, the Cavaliers allowed the Mighty Macs to pull even at 9-9. The Blue and White responded with four of the next five points to build a 14-10 advantage. After alternating points, Cabrini notched five consecutive points to give it the cushion it needed to secure the first set.
The Cavaliers again built a seemingly comfortable lead in the second set before Immaculata fought back. The Mighty Macs trailed 19-11 before mounting a comeback. Immaculata scored nine of the next 12 points to pull within 22-20. Moments later, the Mighty Macs found themselves trailing just 24-23 with the serve, but an attack error gave the set to the Blue and White.
Cabrini took the court for the third set with a renewed fire, as it used a pair of 5-0 runs to establish a 13-5 lead. The advantage grew to 20-8 as the Cavaliers cruised to the victory.
Sophomore Gabrielle Guerrera led Immaculata (10-5, 5-1 CSAC) with 13 kills, two more than freshman Shelby Belk. Junior Molly Truitt added 20 digs in the loss.
The Cavaliers have a few days off before returning to action next Tuesday, when they welcome Gwynedd Mercy University (8-15, 5-3 CSAC) to Nerney Field House for Senior Night. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
