RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini field hockey team built on a dominant opening 35 minutes to earn a 4-0 shutout of Immaculata University at Edith Robb Dixon Field today. The Cavaliers improved to 9-7 overall and 5-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference with the victory.

The Cavaliers added to their lead in the 24th minute when senior
Kerry Anne Farrell collected the rebound from her own shot and put it in the back of the cage for the first of her two goals on the day.
Sophomore
Jackie Neary marked the scoring column in the 26th minute, as the sophomore dribbled through two defenders before firing a shot from the right side for her second goal of the year.
The Cavaliers dominated the opening 35 minutes of play, recording 22 shots, including 17 on goal. Immaculata's junior goaltender Sarah Pasternak kept the Mighty Macs close with 14 first half saves.
The Blue and White continued its ball control, passing game in the second half, attempting just five shots, all on target.
Farrell notched her second goal of the day and 13th of the campaign in the 56th minute, when she redirected a Neary shot.
On the day, the Blue and White recorded 27 shots, including 22 on target, while hold Immaculata without a shot. It was the first time since a 4-0 win over Notre Dame of Maryland University on Oct. 18, 2011 that Cabrini has held an opponent without a shot.
Farrell led the Cavaliers with 11 shots, while Webb, Mack, Neary and senior
Tiffany Phillips added three each.
Junior Christine McIntyre recorded three second half saves for the Mighty Macs (0-15, 0-5 CSAC).
Cabrini will close its CSAC slate on Wednesday, as it travels to Aston, Pa. to face Neumann University (9-8, 3-3 CSAC). The opening whistle is scheduled for 7 p.m.
