RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini field hockey regular season came to an end today, as the Cavaliers suffered a 3-0 loss to Alvernia University, dropping the Blue and White to 10-8 on the season.
Today's game marked the final regular season home appearance for Cabrini's eight seniors,

Jen Webb.
Winners of 42 total games, including 25 Colonial States Athletic Conference victories, this group has led the Cavaliers to three consecutive conference championship games.
In their 309 combined appearances in the Blue and White, these ladies have accumulated 312 total points on 125 goals and 62 assists, along with 14 saves.
Alvernia jumped ahead in the 22nd minute as freshman Alyson Keene punched in a loose ball in front of Cabrini's goal.
Despite carrying a 9-3 advantage in penalty corners into the half, the Cavaliers attempted just three first half shots and went into the half trailing 1-0.
Both teams found their offensive strides after the break, combining for 23 second half shots.
The Crusaders took advantage of their opportunities as junior Margaret Wentzel finished rebounds of her own shots to score in the 56th and 58th minutes.
The Blue and White continued its dominance in the penalty corner column, earning 10 to just one for Alvernia in the second half, but the Cavaliers could not convert them into shots on goal.

Kylie McDevitt recorded five of Cabrini's 15 shots on the day, while sophomore
Jackie Neary added three. Sophomore goaltender
Taylor Bookman notched seven saves in the loss.
The Blue and White will return to action on Wednesday, as it welcomes Marywood University to Edith Robb Dixon Field for a CSAC Tournament semifinal. Game time is slated for 4 p.m.
Cabrini has won each of its last 13 meetings against the Pacers, including a 2-1 victory when the clubs met on October 3 in Scranton in the conference opener for both.
In Wednesday's other semifinal, top seeded Gwynedd Mercy (11-5, 7-0 CSAC) will host number four seed Keystone (5-10, 4-3 CSAC).
Wednesday's semifinal winners will meet on Saturday in the conference championship game. Saturday's winner will also earn the CSAC's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Tournament.
