DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Cabrini field hockey team moved north of .500 for the first time today, as it scored a 7-0 victory at Delaware Valley University. With the nonconference victory, the Cavaliers improved to 6-5 on the season.
Senior
Kerry Anne Farrell led the Blue and White attack with a season-high eight points in the win, notching three goals and two assists. With today's output, Farrell moved to the top of Cabrini's goals and assists list.
The senior broke the College's points record against Widener on September 18. Her three goals gave her 65 for her career, breaking Jessi Valerio's previous mark of 63. She also surpassed Lindsey Atzert's previous record of 23 assists with today's two helpers, giving her 24 for her career.
Junior
Taylor Mack added five points in the victory, pairing two goals and an assist, while senior
Tiffany Phillips tallied two goals for her fourth multi-goal game of the season.
The Blue and White jumped to an early lead, as Farrell and junior
Kylie McDevitt combined to find Phillips in the sixth minute. Six minutes later, Mack's cross found Farrell to double the Cabrini lead.
The cushion remained 2-0 until the final minutes of the opening half. McDevitt's hard pass found Farrell's stick in the 32nd minute for the record breaking goal. Less than 40 seconds later, the Cavaliers notched its fourth goal of the stanza, as Mack redirected Farrell's shot.
Cabrini built its 4-0 halftime lead on the strength of a 9-1 advantage in shots and eight penalty corners to two for the Aggies.
The Blue and White added to its lead in the opening minutes of the second half, as Farrell collected her own rebound and deposited the ball into the Delaware Valley net.
Mack recorded her second goal of the afternoon in the 42nd minute on a breakaway. Phillips closed the scoring in the 48th minute, as senior

Danielle Palatano found the senior on a penalty corner.
The Blue and White closed the afternoon with a 19-5 advantage in shots, including a 14-3 cushion in shots on goal. The Cavaliers also earned 16 penalty corners to just four for the Aggies.
Farrell earned match-high honors with seven shots, three more than Phillips. Sophomore
Taylor Bookman notched her third shutout of the season with three saves.
Carlie Baldus and Taylor Pritchett fired two shots each for Delaware Valley (5-6), while Emily Aldridge recorded seven saves.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Saturday, when they travel to La Plume, Pa. to face Keystone College (3-6, 2-0 CSAC). The opening whistle is scheduled for 1 p.m.
