RADNOR, Pa. – The No. 10 Cabrini men's lacrosse team fell to 3-3 on the season after today's 13-7 loss to No. 15 Salisbury at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
Seniors
Mike Leyden and
Tyler Johnston led the Cavaliers with two goals and an assist each, while classmate
Damian Sobieski added a goal and a helper.
The Blue and White fired 30 shots on the day, led by Johnston's nine, two more than junior

Tyler Morrell scooped three ground balls each, while junior
Dan Hopson caused a pair of Salisbury miscues.
Morrell suffered the loss, despite recording eight saves.
The Sea Gulls took control of the scoreboard from the early minutes, as they scored the game's first five goals. Leyden connected with Sobieski at the 9:45 mark of the second quarter to put the Cavaliers on the board.
Following another Salisbury goal, Sobieski returned the favor, finding Leyden with 8:25 left in the half to cut the deficit back to 6-2. The Sea Gulls added two more goals to close the second quarter with an 8-2 advantage.
Both teams added two goals in the third quarter, and despite unassisted goals by Leyden and Johnston, Cabrini continued to trail by six goals.
Johnston's goal came with just 90 seconds left in the third quarter and provided a spark for the Cavaliers. It was the first of four Blue and White unanswered goals over the next 4:32.
Junior
Cole Campbell, freshman
James Magnani and Johnston found the back of the net in a span of 1:14 of the fourth quarter, cutting the Cabrini deficit to 10-7 with just south of 12 minutes on the clock.
Salisbury had an answer, scoring the final three goals of the game to secure the victory.
Sophomore Carson Kalama led Salisbury (5-3) with four goals and two assists, while junior Thomas Cirillo added three goals and two assists. Senior goaltender Colin Anderson recorded 10 saves to seal the win.
The Cavaliers have little time to regroup, as the team will travel to Stevenson University in Owings Mills, Md. on Friday for the Greene Turtle Classic. The Blue and White will face the host No. 3 Mustangs (3-2) on Friday at 8 p.m. then Nazareth College (3-2) on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
