Box Score 2 IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Cabrini softball team traveled to Immaculata University today for a CSAC doubleheader, and scored a split with the Mighty Macs. The Blue and White improved to 9-5 overall and 5-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference after a 12-4 victory in the opener and a 15-11 loss in the nightcap.
Today's games marked the second consecutive season the teams have paired to raise money and awareness in the fight against cancer. Last season, the clubs raised money to help fight Leukemia. This year's cancer battle focused on lymphoma and breast cancer.

Steph Diegel singled to centerfield to score junior
Kaitlyn Cooper. In the bottom half of the first inning, Immaculata answered with two runs to take the lead.
The Blue and White reclaimed the lead in the second inning after scoring seven unanswered runs. Sophomore
Taylor Mack singled to right field, scoring Dietrich. With the basses loaded, Mack came home to score on a Cooper walk. Diegel singled through the right side, scoring freshmen
Alexandria Ramos and
Christine Ferraro. Diegel and Cooper crossed home plate on a double by senior
Becca Miles. Dietrich tripled down the right field line, plating Miles, for her second hit of the inning.
With the basses loaded once again, in the bottom of the third inning, Cooper homered to left center for her third tally of the season. The Mighty Macs managed just one run in both the the third and fourth innings.
Sophomore
Kiley Sharp earned the win in the pitcher's circle. The sophomore pitched four innings, surrendered nine hits and allowed four runs. Cooper paced the offense going 2-3, with a home run and five RBI, while Ferraro went 3-3 at the plate. Dietrich went 2-2 and tallied a RBI in the win.
It was a back and forth battle in the second game for the Blue and White. The Cavaliers gave up three runs in the first inning, while the Mighty Macs held Cabrini Scoreless.
In the second inning, Dietrich scored onMack's infield single to bring the Cavaliers to within two runs. In the bottom half, the Mighty Macs answered back with two more runs.
The Blue and White scored five runs in the third inning to reclaim the lead. Dietrich's basses loaded single scored Ramos. Sophomore
Natalie Giannascoli's sacrifice fly to left field advanced the runners, as Cooper crossed home plate. Mack singled through the left side and advanced second on the throw as Diegel came home to score. Dietrich and Mack crossed the plate on a double by freshman

Lindsay Savar but the Mighty Macs got the run back in the bottom half.
The Blue and White scored four runs in the sixth to extend the lead to 11-6. Dietrich tripled to right field, plating Diegel and Cooper on the hit. Dietrich came home to score off a Savar single to right field. An error by the shortstop plated Savar.
The Mighty Macs scored two runs in the sixth and three in the seventh to send the game to extra innings. After a scoreless eighth, Immaculata senior Brittany Merkle hit a grand slam to end the game.
Dietrich went 4-5 in the batter's box and tallied three RBI in the loss. Mack was 2-4 in the nightcap and also notched three RBI, while seven other Cavaliers tallied a hit in the loss.
The Blue and White will travel to Baltimore, Md. on Monday to face Notre Dame of Maryland University (1-7, 0-4 CSAC) in a conference doubleheader. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
