RADNOR, Pa. – For the second consecutive night, the Cabrini volleyball team took its home court with a sense of urgency. The Cavaliers wasted little time in dispatching the visiting Moravian College Greyhounds 3-0 at Nerney Field House, improving to 8-3 on the season.
The Cavaliers' offense clicked from the opening whistle, as Cabrini recorded a season-high .395 hitting percentage, posting 37 kills against just five attack errors.
Junior
Christine Ingargiola led the Blue and White with 10 kills in 14 attacks and three total blocks. Senior
Jen Grenauer and sophomore
Anne-Marie Jones added eight kills each.

Cassidy Koenig distributed 30 assists to go with nine digs. Freshman
Ashley Shannon matched Koenig with nine digs. Grenauer and classmate
Harlee Scanlan added two service aces each.
Cabrini scored the first three points of the match and never looked back. The Cavaliers earned 12 of 13 points early in the opening set to build a 16-3 lead. Moravian never got closer than nine points, as the Blue and White took the opening set 25-13.
The opening minutes of the second set remained close, until a Moravian service error sent sophomore
Chelsea Jones to the service line, where she led Cabrini to six consecutive points and a 19-8 advantage. The Greyhounds mustered just one point before six straight points on Grenauer's serves ended the set 25-9.
Moravian looked to rally in the third set, pulling even at 9-9. Cabrini built a bit of breathing room before Scanlan stepped to the service line and put the match on ice. The senior led the Cavaliers to eight consecutive points, including a pair of service aces, en route to a 25-13 third set victory.
Sophomore Mary Zacher led Moravian (3-7) with nine kills, while classmate Jean Markovic added 10 digs and senior Megan Szkolnicki 18 assists.
The Cavaliers will hit the road on Friday, as they travel to Elizabethtown College for the Days Inn Blue Jay Classic. Cabrini will face tough opposition in the host Blue Jays (8-2) at 4:30 p.m. and the University of Rochester (7-2) at 6:30 p.m.
