GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA – The Cabrini volleyball team evened its record at 12-12 with tonight's 3-0 victory at Gwynedd Mercy University.
With tonight's 25-14, 25-14, 25-11 win, the Cavaliers improved to 9-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference and extended its conference win streak to 46 matches.
The Blue and White put on a balanced offense attack en route to its fifth consecutive win, as eight players recorded at least one kill.
Junior
Anne-Marie Jones led the offense with 12 kills, while classmate
Chelsea Jones added 10 kills.
Freshman
Emily Stokarski posted a double-double, pairing 31 assists with a team high 11 digs.
Senior
Kelly Guarino added eight kills and 10 digs, while sophomore
Ashley Shannon scored seven digs.
Sophomore
Emily Shannon matched a career high with five service aces to go with four kills and six sigs.
Junior
Kaylee Plisinski tallied a career best six total blocks in the win, including four solo blocks.
Casey Griffith led Gwynedd Mercy (9-15, 4-6 CSAC)with seven kills and 11 digs, while aura Kirk earned match high honors with 12 digs.
The Cavaliers will step out of CSAC play this weekend, as they head to Selinsgrove, PA for a tri-match. Cabrini will face the US Coast Guard Academy (14-9) on Saturday at 10am before meeting the host Susquehanna (23-5) at 2pm.
