BALTIMORE, MD – The Cabrini field hockey team clinched its spot in the Colonial States Athletic Conference tournament today, as it topped Notre Dame of Maryland University 5-0.
The Cavaliers' fifth consecutive victory improved the team to 9-6 overall and 5-1 in the conference. With one league game remaining, the Blue and White sit in second place.
Cabrini dominated today's action, outshooting the Gators 21-2, including 15-2 in shots on goal. The Cavaliers recorded 17 penalty corners to just four for Notre Dame.

After an 11-0 advantage in first half shots, the Blue and White carried its 3-0 lead into the halftime break.
Cabrini didn't waste much time in the second half adding to its lead, as senior

Sara Johnsen pass into her 17th tally of the season.

Brittany Smith closed the scoring in the 57th minute, turning a feed from Johnsen into her first career tally.

Cabrini will close its conference slate on Thursday, with a trip to Immaculata University (7-11. 3-3 CSAC). Game time is slated for 4pm.
