RADNOR, PA – Senior
Kelly Guarino made the most of her Senior Night tonight at Nerney Field House, as she led the Cabrini volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-13, 25-17, 25-13) victory over the visiting Clarks Summit University Defenders.
The Blue and White's 47th consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference win improved the Cavaliers to 13-14 overall and a perfect 10-0 in the league.
With one match remaining in the conference schedule, Cabrini remains in position to secure the number one seed and home court advantage in next week's CSAC Tournament.
Guarino celebrated what her teammates dubbed "Kelly Night" with her 10th double-double of the season, pairing match highs of 12 kills and 15 digs.
Junior
Anne-Marie Jones added 11 kills, seven digs and a pair of blocks. Sophomore Emily Shonn recorded six kills and five digs.
Freshman
Emily Stokarski notched 28 assists, while junior
Chelsea Jones recorded three total blocks.
The Cavaliers totaled 13 service aces in tonight's win with Guarino's four leading the way. Sophomore
Ashley Shannon added three, while Stokarski and
Chelsea Jones chipped in with two each.
Freshman Kara Brown led Clarks Summit (10-18, 5-6 CSAC) with seven kills and nine digs, while fellow rookie Alexa Wagner paired nine assists and eight digs.
Cabrini will close its CSAC schedule on Thursday, as it visits Immaculata University (9-14, 6-4 CSAC) at 7pm.
